Wineries
On this tour, you will enjoy three of the most distinctive wineries on the island! Some of them are listed below.
Hatzidakis Winery
The winery was founded by Haridimos Hatzidakis and Konstantina Chryssou in 1997, with a commitment to producing wines that reflect the unique terroir of Santorini. They cultivate indigenous grape varieties such as Assyrtiko, Aidani, Athiri, and Mavrotragano, with a focus on organic and biodynamic viticulture practices.
Gavalas Winery
Gavalas Winery is one of the oldest wineries situated in the traditional village of Megalochori. The family combines traditional winemaking techniques with modern practices to produce a range of exceptional wines that showcase the distinct character of Santorini’s volcanic soil and microclimate. They are a limited production winery.
Domaine Sigalas
Domaine Sigalas, located in Oia, was established in 1991 by Paris Sigalas. The 40 hectares of surrounding vineyards are cultivated in a sustainable manner and the winery’s annual wine production reaches 200,000 bottles. All wines are crafted with great attention to the varieties of Santorini and the neighboring Cyclades. Since 2020 the management of Domaine Sigalas passed to the team of Ktima Kir-Yianni, which has been a shareholder since 2009.
Estate Argyros
Argyros Estate in Santorini is a renowned winery located in the village of Episkopi Gonia. The estate has a long history dating back to the late 19th century when it was founded by George Argyros. Today, it’s run by the third generation of the Argyros family and is known for its commitment to traditional winemaking methods combined with modern techniques.
